How the application process works

Once applications open, complete the online application form. You will receive confirmation on submission. A member of the administration team will review your application to ensure this meets the Donation Policy.

Each application round will be limited to 75 submissions. Once this threshold is reached, applications will close and will not reopen until the next cycle. Any subsequent applicants will be notified of the next available date for submitting applications.

Our Board of Trustees will review each application against our donations policy and decide which good causes will benefit from our support. Responsibility rests with the applicant charity to submit a complete and accurate application form which complies with our donations policy.

Meeting dates

The trustees will meet three times in 2026, in April, July and December. Submission opening dates for the meetings are as follows.

Following the meeting

We will contact you via email following the meeting with the outcome, this can take up to 28 days. Please note the Trustees' decisions are final and they will not enter into any correspondence after a decision has been reached.

The successful charities will be notified via the YourCause Grants Connect platform, you will be asked to provide charity bank details within three weeks.

We will then transfer the funds via an electronic bank payment to the charity bank account.

We may contact you to seek your permission to feature your charity on our website following a successful application. With your charity's permission, these details will be published on www.skiptoncharitablefoundation.co.uk.
